Double Wins in Home Opener!

Congratulations to the girls and boys tennis teams of White County Middle School. They hosted Algood Middle tonight for the season opener with good sportsmanship and hospitality. They also came away with double wins. Girls lead with a strong 4-1 win and the guys scraped out a 3-2 victory. It was a good first night of tennis!

Duke and Malaki end with the respect due to opponents.

The following girls and boys contributed victories tonight.

Girls Team - Lella Whorton, Mila Cantrell, ​Liz Hice, Cami Moore, Alexis Griffin.

Boys Team - Micah Wiles, Colton Ballew, Henry Zuber, Duke Goodwin, & William Durfee.

​Of special note, Lella Whorton and Mila Cantrell served up 6-0 bagels for the girls team. Also, Alexis Griffin won her first tie break 7-5. To top it off, Colton Ballew and Duke Goodwin served up 6-0 bagels for the boys team. We are proud of our Warriors and Warriorettes!

Our next match is away this Thursday at 4pm against a combined team of Cumberland County middle schools at the tennis courts of Stone Memorial High School.
