Racquet Stringing Service

Topher has been stringing racquets on his own personal stringing machines since 2006. He uses a drop weight system (4 point hold) with a Gamma string tension calibrating device to ensure you get just what you want. I will ask the following questions when you want restrung.

  • What gauge string do you want?

  • What tension string do you want?

  • What stringing material do you want?

  • What color do you want?

If you don't know the answer to these questions, I'm happy to make a recommendation for you.

Let's make pricing EASY

  • $20 if you use any of the strings I currently stock.

  • $15 if you bring your own string to me.

How often should I restring my racquet?

Over a year, you should restring your racquet the number of times you play in a week. So if you play four times a week, then restring you racquet four times a year.

If you have not had a fresh string bed in six months, then I would say it's time to freshen things up.  Even if they look visually fine, the loss of tension and elasticity over time will have decreased the playability of the string.

Here is a great description of the tension loss & durability issues that your strings will go through.  https://www.perfect-tennis.com/how-often-should-you-restring-your-tennis-racquet/

Grips & Overgrips - I always play with fresh overgrips on my racquets, changing them whenever one starts to fray.
I almost always have black Wilson Grips and Wilson Overgrips in stock. I also like to keep the blue colored TournaGrip (overgrip) in stock.  If you'd like me to put a new one on for you, I'm happy to.

  • New Full Grip - $7

  • New Overgrip - $2
