Primary Goals: 1) Review Forehand and Serve 2) Learn Volley, Scoring, & Doubles Movement · Stretching (5 minutes before practice) (Top Down) o Dynamic –Dancing Bears, Heal/Toe Walks, Shuffle Steps, Carioca Steps, Lunges · Warm Up o Ball Bounces – 20 down, 15 up, 10 frame down, 5 frame up, o Racket Catches
o Cone & Ladder Warmup o 12 minute warmup – Volley=2m, FH&BH=4m, Overheads=2m, Serving=4m
· Water Break – 2 minutes · New Concept – Volley Positioning o Beginners - Volley Technique o Intermediate - Pop the Ball Up, Then Hit
o Volley Triangle - Movement Coming Forward · Mini Tennis - Red Ball - Fun Game o Play a real Fast 4 Format with Red Ball · Competition – Mini Kings & Queens - 2 Courts Homework – Watch these two videos displaying volley technique and action
