I had a great time this weekend at the USTA Doubles Tennis State Championships. Our Upper Cumberland Team finished 5th out of 6 teams, which is a step up for us! The Upper Cumberland has been considered it's own region for tennis for about 3 years now. The other regions are Knoxville, Nashville, Memphis, Chattanooga, and Murfreesboro. These are all bigger tennis communities with bigger tennis resources than the Upper Cumberland. So, in the last couple of years we've built a team to play in the State Championships (Think of this like a baseball All-Star tournament). This year we beat Chattanooga and gave Murfreesboro a good run! That's great progress. We had a men's team and a women's team, pictured below. It was a blast and I look forward to this competition every year! There are opportunities for you to keep playing tennis easily into your adult years!

Special thanks to Krysta for recording some highlights!
